Sculptures: Finished and now on the Sculpture Gallery Page are La Pomme d'Eva, or the Apple of Eve, Jesmonite and Gold Leaf, 560mm in size; and Warrior Horse, Jesmonite, 520mm high by 480mm long.

In progress:  "Summer Dream"  is still in the long drying-out process before being taken for firing. It will still be several months before it is kiln-ready.

The "Torso of Paul"  is in the planning stage, as is "Xus", the drummer of the medieval musicians, "Berros de la Cort",  of Girona. (There's more on YouTube on this fascinating group of musicians). Jan is also currently preparing the "Study of Seated Paula"

Exhibitions: please go to the Exhibitions page to see details of Jan's last show (December 2008/January 2009) at the Pessebre in Bascara, Catalunia, and the Symposium of Catalan Sculpture (July-August 2009), at which Jan was awarded the Prix de Honneur for her work "Chiron".

"Adam" unexpectedly found a new home and is seen here in the Owner's garden.

A new work, which is not for sale, has been completed and has gone to its new home in Reutlingen, Germany. The piece "Water Lillies in Bowl" is in Jesmonite which has been acid-etched and polished, and measures 65cms high and 50cms across.

The above work, Bucephalus - the horse of Alexander the Great - (Linen Clay and Jesmonite, 50cms by 75cms) has now been finished. More pictures on the Latest Works Page.

Two bronze dogs emerged from the foundry in Girona in January. One had been damaged in the wax and needed rectification. The following work - the bronze cast of "Summer Dreams" was of such poor quality* it had to be scrapped by us and a new cast has been made by another foundry who will be receiving all our work in future. The final cast of "Summer Dreams" may be seen on Page 13 of this website.

*The casting contains hundreds of sand particles, one leg had been damaged and repaired, and fine details had been obliterated. The original foundry denied liability, and all efforts to secure compensation from this foundry failed.
